Sports

A well-equipped gym, TT room, and badminton court have been provided in the institute. DDA Sports Complex, Dwarka is being utilized for conducting various sports events. A group of students of Zenith – Sports Committee, LBSIM, represented the Institute at Agnitraya – IIM Kashipur annual fest and were the runner-up of the Table Tennis tournament. The students also participated in a plethora of games like Futsal, Volleyball, Chess and Badminton to name a few.

Gymnasium

The institute has facilities for indoor games such as chess, carrom, and table-tennis. The campus also has a well-equipped gymnasium with modern equipment for physical exercises. The institute has corporate membership of DDA Sports Complex, Dwarka and its facilities are utilized for conducting various outdoor sports events from time to time.

Cafeteria

The institute has a modern well-furnished cafeteria for students open on all seven days of the week from 8 am to 8 pm. Post Graduate (MBA) Scholarship For IIT Graduates

Total 5 students from IITs who join Symbiosis International University for the MBA programme in the year 2016 – 17 will be eligible for a @ 20% fee waiver.

Eligibility:

Fee waiver will be given to the students, provided the student joins the MBA programme after making it in the merit list after clearing the entrance exam (SNAP) and GE PIWAT process.
5 students will be chosen based on the total composite score (SNAP + GE PIWAT score). If two students have the same score, then the student with the higher SNAP score will qualify for the Scholarship.
The maximum fee waiver in the FIRST YEAR of the MBA programme would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (Not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee).
The amount would proportionally depend on the academic fee charged for the MBA program by the respective Institution.
For the waiver to continue for the second year of the MBA programme, the student should not have any backlogs (internal or external) and must have atleast 7 out of 10 CGPA at the end of Semester II.
The maximum fee waiver for the second year of the MBA programme, would amount to 20% of the academic fee alone (not including the induction programme fee, hostel and mess fee).

Prof. Dr. S. B. Mujumdar is the Founder and President, Symbiosis; and Chancellor, Symbiosis International (Deemed University). The Symbiosis international university gave us an opportunity to be a part of the student exchange program. It was an interactive program for a span of 15 days wherein 14 German students along with Professor Seebens from the Nuremberg tech university visited the Symbiosis university, lavale campus from 13th Feb to 21st Feb. Being a part of such initiative inculcates a sense of cultural diversity in each one of us. Knowing students from different backgrounds, their lifestyle, traditions helped us to grow more and share a bit of our life with them. We had a 15-day scheduled program wherein everyday was dedicated to specific locations preferably the places where they could know our way of living and know what India is all about. Breaking all barriers and preconceived notions that they had in mind about India, we helped them know the country is way beyond what they think it is perceived as. The students were a mixed lot wherein everybody was studying different subjects and specializing either in engineering or business or finance.We were seven of them who were assigned a buddy to the German students. We were responsible for engaging them and making this program as interactive as possible. Our significant journey in the field of education started in the year 1981 when Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) established the now world-famous, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai. This was done to cater to the growing demand for management education in our country. The management institute, which was initially recognized by Mumbai University, was accorded the Deemed to be University status in 2003 by the Government of India on UGC’s recommendation. Steps for SNAP Registration:

The first step to register for SNAP is to fill the registration form part 1. Candidates must enter the OTP to validate the mobile number. After which they must verify their email id.
The next step is to pay the SNAP Test fees.
The third step is to fill and complete the registration form part 2.
The last step is to make payment for the programs selected.

The eligibility criteria for MBA admissions at SIBM Hyderabad is as follows.

A bachelor’s degree in any stream is a must to be eligible for the admission to MBA course offered by SIMB Hyderabad.
General category applicants must have secured 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree whereas 45% marks are enough for SC/ST candidates. Equivalent CGPA is also acceptable.
