Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu presented the 22nd Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence to Renowned Pulmonologist and Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, Dr.Randeep Guleria. Dr Randeep Guleria receives the award in recognition of his outstanding work in the healthcare sector. The award ceremony was organized by Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi at the Sardar Vallabh bhai Patel Conference Hall in the Vice President House. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-President of India, Shri M. Dr Randeep Guleria is an Indian pulmonologist and the current director of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, credited with the establishment of India’s first centre for pulmonary medicines and sleep disorders at AIIMS. He was honoured by the Government of India in 2015 with Padma Shri, the fourth-highest Indian civilian award. He is a part of India’s COVID-19 response effort.
