The Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was established in 1988 under the aegis of the Birla Academy of Art and Culture. Late Basant Kumar Birla, Ex-Chairperson of the Basant Kumar Birla group of companies, and Late Sarala Birla were the founders of BIMTECH. The institute is governed by an eminent board of governors mostly drawn from the top echelons of the industry. Selection Process at BIMTECH Noida

STEP I – Application

Procurement of Form: The application form (common for all the programs) is available on our website www.bimtech.ac.in.

STEP II – Selection Process, Venue & Document Verification

Call for Personal Interview

The second stage is of Personal Interview (PI). To avoid possible overlapping of the selection process with other B Schools and also to facilitate the early selection/offer of admission, we propose to have an early round (First Phase) of PI process after the third week of December 2022 itself which would be well before the declaration of CAT/XAT results. Here we intend to invite the majority of the applicants who apply on or before December 2nd, 2022 based on their profile as judged from:

Consistency and good past academic performance
Relevant work experience (if any) that brings value to the classroom learning

STEP III – Result

Declaration of Final Selection List:

Final selection list is prepared taking into account the candiate’s :

Past academic performance
Entrance test scores (CAT/XAT/GMAT/CMAT/MAT)
Performance in Personal Interview and Writing Ability Test based on their respective weightages
Work Experience (if applicable)
Other parameters, wherever applicable, as per the weightages table

STEP IV – Admission

Fee Submission:

The selected candidates are to deposit the first installment of tuition fee within the given time frame in the offer letter to ensure their admission, failing which the offer is passed on to the waitlisted candidates. The fee for boarding/lodging would be given separately at a later date.
Institute does not entertain any request for an extension of the deadline for the submission of the fee.
Beginning of Session
The academic session of all the programmes is likely to start on June 2023 (tentative).

Programs offered at BIMTECH Noida Management Quota

PGDM

Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is a two-year, full-time residential programme that is deemed as equivalent to an MBA. This is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

This is flagship program of BIMTECH and was started in 1994. The rigorous nature of the program equips the participants with the necessary hard and soft skills to eventually excel in leadership role across different industries globally. The Program architecture is designed in consultation with Business Leaders and after benchmarking with some of the best-known MBA Programs globally. While the core papers build strong fundamentals, the participants will choose one specialization from functional areas – Marketing / Finance / HR/ Operations and Decision Science and other specialization from Business Verticals – BFSI / IT-ITES/ Analytics / Digital Business. The functional specialization of 8 courses will provide an in-depth understanding of the chosen functional area. The Business Vertical Specialisation of 8 courses prepares the participants thoroughly for the chosen verticals.

PGDM ( International Business)

Over the years, the program has carved out a permanent niche among recruiters by constantly monitoring emerging trends and assimilating professional education, research, training, and consultancy requirements in its insurance and risk management curriculum. BIMTECH initiated the establishment of a nodal Centre in Insurance and Risk Management education, research, training and consultancy to fill the enormous vacuum of trained professionals in the industry. PGDM (Retail Management)

Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) was the pioneer in introducing the Post Graduate Professional Course in Retail in India in the year 2002 to supply quality managers, capable of shouldering responsibilities in a highly competitive retail marketing environment. The mission is to transform the students’ future by creating opportunities for them. The program is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE, Ministry of Human Resource Development, and Government of India) and is also accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for equivalence with an MBA.
